INTRODUCTION
Volker Hinz (born 1947) put his name on the map in the early 1970s with reports from the German political scene. Jobs for Stern magazine brought him opportunities for enthralling photo documentations on topics such as New York nightlife, Hollywood, and Mexico, for which he received the World Press Award among other honors, as well as membership in the most esteemed photographic associations.
