INTRODUCTION
Hans Gasser was born in Schwaz, in Tyrol in 1950. He has lived in Innsbruck, Austria, since 1967. As a photographer, he constantly finds himself challenged by desert vistas. He makes use of panorama photography as an instrument for conveying a tangible sense of the immensity and fascination of these landscapes. Since 1990 Hans Gasser has repeatedly travelled to the desert regions of the Sahara and most recently he visited the region of South Libya.
